THE DOUBLE — BEFORE IT UNRAVELS
I’ve just launched a crowdfunding campaign for my new short film, The Double — Before It Unravels. It’s a contemporary adaptation of Dostoevsky’s The Double, set in a working silk factory in Gunma and shot on 16mm film. The project was selected as one of 9 out of 219 applications for the Gunma Next Generation Filmmaker Competition and received ¥1 million in production support. However, the grant covers only part of the production costs, so I’m raising the remaining budget through crowdfunding to be able to make the film the way I envision it.
